Meaningful Communication

In this workshop we will work to understand what commonly contributes to escalations in interactions and how to successfully de-escalate high stress situations. We will explore problem solving skills, common triggers or 'hot spots', and responses. We will teach employees to respond in an appropriate and helpful manner, highlighting empathy and listening skills. This can contribute to improved customer services, community relationships, and overall employee satisfaction at work. We will also discuss the importance of relying on your team for debriefing after a high stress situation. 

Fees: 60 minute 'lunch & learn': $450 up to 10 people.

 2.5 hours expanded education: $850 up to 10 people

Community Mental Health Awareness

Careers working with community members often require us to build trusting relationships with clients. Our society is becoming increasingly complex as we have unprecedented rates of mental health conditions, substance use, and violence. In this workshop we will learn how to identify and respond appropriately to someone who has anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, suicidal ideation and violence in the home.

We will explore how to respond to disclosures and which community resources can offer further support to individuals in need. Lastly, we will discuss the importance of relying on your team for debriefing after a high stress situation. 

Fees: 60 minute 'lunch & learn': $450 up to 10 people
