Registered Clinical Counsellor
Location: Kamloops
I am grateful to be able to conduct work and be located on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the Tk’emlúps te Secwepemc.
Senior Counsellor
A genuine interest to be of service and to connect with others is my passion. Being a child immigrant and having worked with thousands of foreign students in an academic setting for over 20 years, has allowed me to understand what it is like to be different from the majority.
I value authentically connecting with others and view learning about their lived experience, as a privilege. Building rapport and trust enables others to safely explore and reflect on themselves and in areas they struggle with, bringing forth their strengths, enhancing resilience and reaching goals.
As a wife and mother, I understand the struggles of family relationships. It can be difficult to be everything to everyone. I want to ensure people who come to me as a Counsellor, feel seen, heard, understood and supported.
Therapeutic Approaches: Person-centred, culturally sensitive, trauma-informed lens. Carl Rogers’ unconditional, positive regard.
