Counsellor
I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor offering support for people who are wanting to reduce anxiety, create a work/life balance, reduce stress and chronic pain. I use a somatic approach to helping people process trauma and reduce anxiety through developing tools that support their nervous system. I was also trained in Response-Based Practice, which focuses on people’s inherent ability and strength in responding to adversity & trauma. Exploring people’s resistance to mistreatment can help in resolving feelings of being responsible for trauma that they experienced.
Therapeutic Approaches: Somatic Experiencing, Polyvagal, Response-Based Practice, Narrative therapy.
Degrees: Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, Master of Arts in Clinical Counselling; RRC: Registered Clinical Counsellor #18112, British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors.
Additional Training: Training: Somatic Experiencing (in training).
