What is Depression and How It Can Affect a Person

It can make us believe we will be trapped in this bleak existence for a long long time. We don’t feel sadness or joy, we feel numb and despondent. Depression

Bipolar Disorder
Bipolar disorder is often misunderstood. In a society that loves extroverts, when you are up — and it feels so great — others might not know you are out of balance and what will come next. The swings of bipolar disorder can feel like you don’t have a lot of control over your own emotions or that you might never get closer to feeling balanced and grounded.
Common Symptoms include:
- Mania
- Times of feeling very happy
- Times requiring little sleep
- Easily distracted
- Feeling creative
- Depression
- Crashing from times of mania into deep lows
- Little to no energy to do anything
- Hard to follow through on commitments and goals
